Current Projects

I'm a Film student and I'm making a short movie (10 min max) for me and my classmate's project. Our given assignment is to make a movie inspired by Tim Burton and Wes Craven after doing extenssive research on both directors and bring that into our own work. 

We willl be shooting in late April, early-mid May. The screening is May 22nd, 6pm and we won't be filming later than a week before that date. We don't know exactly which week we will be filming just yet, considrening that depends on the actor's availability.

The story is about Alec (our main character, gender could change based on actor availability, and it wouldn't impact the story) who is dealing with the loss of his mother, and finds himself in a candle shop where he receives a cursed candle from the owner, Ms. Enid. Alec realizes there's something wrong with the candle as he hears his mother's voice every time he lights it up and gets physically weaker as the candle burns away. He goes back to the shop to return it, which is when we learn that the candle is giving Alec's life to Ms. Enid. Alec tries to fight back and destroy the candle, and he partially succeeds by killing Ms. Enid, but the curse of the candle remains, and he replaces Ms. Enid in this cycle as the next poor victim walks through the doors of that candle shop.
